What to Expect When You Sign up for ERinfoPro as a Customer
Learn about what to expect when you sign up for ERinfoPro
A medical emergency serious enough to send you to the ER can occur at any moment. Whether due to an accident, illness, or a health crisis such as a heart attack or stroke, starting treatment as soon as possible is essential.
Did you know that over one million patients arrive in the ER unconscious or unable to communicate every year? This can make it difficult to determine their identity, medical history, and emergency contacts. Any delay in treatment can result in serious complications and even death.
Now there is a solution that can help. It’s called ERinfoPro, and it’s designed for patients to be easily identified during an emergency.
What is ERinfoPro?
ERinfoPro is the “anytime, anywhere” patient identification and emergency contact notification service. It uses facial recognition technology that allows first responders to determine your identity and health information in seconds.
Until now, there has been no uniform method that allows first responders to identify patients. There are commercial options, including Medical Alert Bracelets, apps, and biometrics, but while these solutions are helpful, first responders cannot access them without your compliance. This is a major problem during an emergency in which you’re unconscious or non-communicative.
ERinfoPro is the only medical alert service that allows emergency personnel to access your information through the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet®). It is the first standard solution designed specifically for consumers to get the fast, safe, and efficient emergency care they need.
What information does ERinfoPro reveal?
With ERinfoPro, a photo can save your life. As we mentioned, ERinfoPro uses facial recognition technology to help first responders determine important information while still in the field or at the ER, including:
- Your identity
- Your emergency contacts
- Current medical conditions & medications
- COVID-19 status
- Advanced directives
ERinfoPro is “always-on” technology that can even be used by first responders on the scene of an emergency, mass casualty, or natural disaster.
Who should sign up for ERinfoPro?
Anyone can sign up and create a profile on ERinfo. You never know when you might be in a car accident or become seriously injured from a fall. If you have a chronic condition, signing up for ERinfoPro is even more critical.
Common chronic medical conditions:
- Diabetes (type 1 or 2)
- Heart disease/heart failure
- Chronic pulmonary disease
- Previous stroke/heart attack
- Alzheimer’s disease/dementia
- Neurological condition
- Brain injury
- Prescribed medications
- Risk of falling
If you have a chronic condition, you may not be able to respond during a health crisis. ERinfoPro can be your voice so you can get the medical attention you need when you need it most.
